Mamata Banerjee Targets BJP in Fiery Bengal Campaign Speech, Seeks Historic Mandate in Pandabeswar & Dubrajpur

West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee on Thursday expressed deep gratitude for the overwhelming public response at election rallies in Pandabeswar and Dubrajpur, calling it a strong indication of the people’s support against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Taking to social media, Banerjee said the “spontaneous outpouring of love and solidarity” at the janasabhas had left her “profoundly moved” and strengthened her confidence that the BJP would face a decisive defeat in the state.

She emphasized that the people of Bengal recognize who stands with them during times of hardship, asserting that representatives of the “Maa-Mati-Manush” ideology remain connected to the grassroots year-round, unlike what she described as “opportunistic and power-driven politics.” In a sharp political attack, Banerjee accused the BJP of attempting to distort Bengal’s rich cultural and historical legacy while intimidating voters. She urged citizens to reject what she termed a “Bangla-Birodhi” (anti-Bengal) party, alleging that it thrives on division, discrimination, and misinformation. The Chief Minister also appealed to voters in Pandabeswar and Dubrajpur to support TMC candidates Narendranath Chakraborty and Naresh Chandra Bauri, seeking a “historic mandate” to continue the state’s path of inclusive development. Framing the election as a crucial moment for the state, Banerjee said, “This election is about safeguarding Bengal's identity, dignity, and future,” adding that a vote for the BJP would be “a vote against Bengal itself.”
