NDA Delegation Meets Himanta Biswa Sarma at Lok Bhawan, Stakes Claim to Form New Government

In a significant political development, representatives of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by Union Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda, met Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya at Lok Bhawan today to formalize the leadership decision in Assam.

During the meeting, the NDA delegation officially informed Himanta Biswa Sarma of his unanimous nomination as their leader. Following this, Dr. Sarma formally presented the claim for the formation of the new government, marking a crucial step in the political process.

The occasion witnessed the presence of several key political figures, including Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Assam BJP State President Dilip Saikia, Asom Gana Parishad President Atul Bora, and BTC Deputy Chief Executive Member Rihon Daimari, along with other prominent leaders and representatives.

This move further consolidates the NDA’s position in Assam, paving the way for the formation of a new government under Dr. Sarma’s leadership.
