Neymar Equals Pelé's Four World Cup Record for Brazil

Neymar matched the legendary Pele's mark of four World Cup edition appearances for Brazil during their 3-0 victory against Scotland at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

The 34-year-old forward missed the Selecao's group stage matches against Morocco and Haiti with a right calf injury.

He entered the pitch as a substitute in the 76th minute for Matheus Cunha on Wednesday, ending a grueling 981-day absence from international football since suffering a severe ACL tear in October 2023.

The Santos playmaker joined an exclusive of Brazilian iconic players comprising Pele, Djalma Santos, Cafu who have featured in four tournament editions.

After making an appearance in Brazil's win over Scotland, Neymar wrote on Instagram: "Remember who you are".

Neymar is also Brazil's highest scorer with 79 goals in 129 matches.
