After the captain became unconscious, a passenger with no prior flying experience skillfully landed the jet at a Florida airport.
The incident, which occurred on Tuesday afternoon, was being investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration. The pilot was thought to have experienced a medical issue.
Two passengers were onboard the single-engine Cessna 208 when the pilot encountered a “potential medical concern,” according to the FAA.
The private jet landed safely at Palm Beach International Airport thanks to one passenger.
“I’ve got a major dilemma here,” the passenger informed air traffic control, according to LiveATC.net recordings. My pilot has gone insane, and I don’t know how to operate the jet.”
“He is incoherent,” the passenger claimed when asked about the pilot’s position. He is out.”
The air traffic controller inquired about the passenger’s position.
“I have no idea,” he said. I see the Florida shore front of me and have no idea.”
“Try to stay north or south of the shore,” the controller advised. “We’re attempting to track you down.”
“Have you guys discovered me?” the traveller said after four minutes. My navigation screen will not turn on. It has all of the necessary information. Do you have any suggestions?”
The jet was found off the coast of Boca Raton by air traffic control.
“Try to keep the wings level and see if you can start descending for me,” the air traffic controller said. “Push forward on the controls and fall at a very gradual rate.”
The jet can be seen landing softly and smoothly in a video.

Another air traffic controller can be heard informing pilots on a different tape, “You just observed a couple of people land that plane.”
An American Airlines pilot said, “Did you say the passengers landed the plane?” “Oh my God. “Wonderful work.”
