Erling Haaland made Premier League history on Wednesday when he scored a hat-trick in Manchester City’s 6-0 win over Nottingham Forest.
The Norwegian netted a treble for the second successive match at the Etihad Stadium, taking his tally for the season to nine goals, the most in the competition by a player after only five appearances in the competition.

It took his overall tally for the season to nine – the most any player has scored in the Premier League in August.
Manchester City coach Guardiola, he believes that what inspires Haaland most is the collective rather than the individual.
“I think what he wants is to win the titles. This is my feeling of what he wants. If the records and goals help that then good.As much as we play better, it gives him chances to score goals,”Guardiola said.
“Records and goals don’t win titles, I think he wants to be part of that. When we bought Erling, everybody spoke about what he had done in the past.
What we want to do is to help him continue what he has done in Norway, Austria and Germany. Hopefully he can continue to enjoy the game,”Pep Guardiola added.
