Piyush Goyal Calls for Stronger India-Finland Business Ties

Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal addressed the India-Finland Business Roundtable alongside Finland's Minister of Economic Affairs, Sakari Puisto, highlighting that India-Finland relations have entered a new phase following the elevation of bilateral ties to a Strategic Partnership in Digitalization and Sustainability earlier this year. He said the proposed India-European Union Free Trade Agreement (India-EU FTA) would unlock significant opportunities to strengthen trade, investment, and business collaboration between the two countries.

Goyal emphasized that India's vast talent pool, rapidly growing economy, and manufacturing capabilities complement Finland's technological expertise and innovation ecosystem. He urged businesses from both nations to build strong partnerships in advanced manufacturing, clean energy, digital technologies, innovation, and other critical sectors, paving the way for shared prosperity, sustainable growth, and long-term economic cooperation.
