Piyush Goyal: India-UK CETA to Unlock New Opportunities
Union Minister Piyush Goyal announced that he is in London with one of India's largest-ever business delegations to the United Kingdom, comprising over 160 pioneering companies, to strengthen bilateral economic ties ahead of the implementation of the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) on July 15, 2026.

Addressing the Business Plenary Session, Goyal highlighted the growing momentum in India-UK relations and described the upcoming CETA as a defining milestone that will unlock significant opportunities for trade, investment, and innovation. He said it was encouraging to interact with business leaders from diverse sectors who share confidence in the expanding economic partnership between the two countries.
Inviting businesses in both India and the UK to seize the opportunities created by the landmark agreement, Goyal urged companies to deepen collaboration, accelerate innovation, and invest with greater ambition to drive shared growth and prosperity.
