The West Bengal government has announced strict action in the aftermath of the Taratala building collapse, reinforcing its commitment to accountability and public safety.

According to Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari, the architectural firm associated with the project has been blacklisted, while six accused have been arrested in connection with the tragedy. The government stated that those responsible for negligence and violations leading to the disaster will face the full force of the law.

The Chief Minister emphasized that accountability is non-negotiable, asserting that the administration is determined to dismantle corrupt systems and practices that have endangered citizens' lives over the years.

The government also reiterated its support for the victims and their families, while ongoing investigations are expected to identify any additional lapses and ensure further legal action where necessary.

Officials said the administration remains focused on strengthening building safety standards and ensuring that similar incidents are prevented in the future.
