Piyush Goyal Meets JBIC Chief to Boost India-Japan Ties

Piyush Goyal meeting JBIC Chairman Tadashi Maeda to discuss India-Japan financial and investment cooperation

Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal held a meeting with Tadashi Maeda, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), to explore opportunities for strengthening the India-Japan economic partnership.

During the meeting, Goyal discussed ways to further deepen financial and investment cooperation between India and Japan. The discussions focused on expanding opportunities for Japanese investments and strengthening financial support for India's economic growth.

Goyal highlighted India's appreciation for JBIC's continued role in supporting Japanese investments in the country. He also emphasised the importance of financial cooperation in unlocking new investment opportunities and strengthening bilateral economic ties.

The meeting comes as India and Japan continue to explore greater collaboration across trade, investment, finance and other strategic sectors, with Japanese companies playing an important role in India's growth and manufacturing ambitions.
