Piyush Goyal Meets Toyota Tsusho CEO to Boost India Engagement

Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal held a meeting with Toshimitsu Imai, President and CEO of Toyota Tsusho Corporation, to discuss opportunities to expand the Japanese company's engagement in India.

During the meeting, Goyal highlighted opportunities for Toyota Tsusho to deepen its presence across trade, mobility and industrial sectors. Discussions focused on leveraging India's cost competitiveness and strengthening the country's position as a global export hub.

Goyal emphasised India's growing potential as a manufacturing and export destination, particularly for emerging markets. Greater engagement by Toyota Tsusho could further support trade, industrial cooperation and mobility-related opportunities between India and Japan.
