Piyush Goyal meets Nippon Steel Chairman and CEO Eiji Hashimoto to discuss India-Japan steel industry cooperation.

Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal met Eiji Hashimoto, Representative Director, Chairman and CEO of Nippon Steel Corporation, along with senior company officials, to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation between India and Japan in the steel sector.

During the meeting, Goyal discussed opportunities for greater collaboration in steel manufacturing, technology transfer and sustainable production.

The Union Minister highlighted India's commitment to deepening its partnership with Japan's steel industry as the country continues to expand its manufacturing capabilities.
