Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal began his official visit to Switzerland by co-chairing a high-level meeting with Helene Budliger Artieda, State Secretary for Economic Affairs of Switzerland, along with representatives from leading Swiss pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.

The meeting focused on expanding India-Switzerland cooperation in research, innovation, healthcare, and life sciences. Discussions also explored new investment opportunities for Swiss pharmaceutical firms in India's rapidly growing healthcare ecosystem.

Sharing details of the engagement on social media, Goyal highlighted India's emergence as a global hub for healthcare innovation, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and biotechnology research. He emphasized the government's commitment to fostering a conducive business environment that encourages foreign investment and technological collaboration.
