PM Modi Highlights Global Challenges and India’s Path to Strategic Leadership
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has highlighted India’s distinct approach to global power and cooperation, emphasising the importance of trust, reliable supply chains and strong international partnerships amid growing global uncertainty.
Addressing the Bloomberg New Economy Forum, PM Modi said the current decade has witnessed unprecedented global challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, wars in different parts of the world and disruptions to trade, critical mineral supplies and energy security.
He observed that globalisation routes established over several decades have increasingly turned into unexpected chokepoints, exposing vulnerabilities in international supply chains and economic networks.
The Prime Minister also pointed to the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI), which is reshaping operations across sectors, while noting that many countries are grappling with challenges associated with ageing populations.
Against this backdrop, PM Modi identified trust as one of the most significant issues confronting the world today. He emphasised three key aspects: confidence in the continued availability of essential supplies, assurance that commitments will be honoured, and faith that partner nations will stand by one another.
The Prime Minister said India is advancing with a distinct approach and outlook in this changing global environment, underscoring the importance of dependable partnerships, economic resilience and international cooperation.
His remarks highlighted the growing significance of trust and reliability in shaping the future of global trade, technology and strategic relationships.
