Piyush Goyal, Maninder Sidhu Discuss Next Steps in India-Canada CEPA Talks
Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal held a productive discussion with Maninder Sidhu, Canada’s Minister of International Trade, focusing on advancing negotiations for the India-Canada Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).
In Delhi, India, I met with my colleague, India’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal. During our tenth meeting, we continued our work to strengthen trade ties between our countries, building on Minister Goyal’s visit to Canada earlier this year alongside Indian business leaders. We had a productive discussion on negotiations toward a balanced Canada–India Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) that would improve market access and create new opportunities for trade and investment.
