PM Modi Highlights Technology-Driven Welfare Revolution in India's Growth Story
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has highlighted the transformative impact of welfare initiatives and technology-driven governance over the past 12 years, emphasizing that the welfare of the poor and marginalized remains at the heart of India's development journey.
In a social media post, the Prime Minister stated that technology has played a crucial role in improving the quality of life for millions of citizens. He noted that initiatives such as Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) and digital governance platforms have ensured that government support reaches beneficiaries directly and transparently, reducing leakages, enhancing efficiency, and strengthening public trust.
PM Modi said that India's journey towards Garib Kalyan has evolved into a collective movement focused on human empowerment and the realization of a Viksit Bharat.
Reflecting on the government's efforts over the last 12 years, he highlighted several flagship initiatives including the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, and Ayushman Bharat.
According to the Prime Minister, these initiatives have been guided by the philosophy of Antyodaya—ensuring that the benefits of development reach those who were left behind for decades. He reiterated that every welfare programme has been driven by the objective of providing dignity, opportunity, and empowerment to citizens across the country.
