Maharashtra Govt Closely Monitoring Rainfall Patterns to Protect Farmers: CM Devendra Fadnavis
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has assured farmers that the state government is closely monitoring rainfall patterns and implementing proactive measures to protect agricultural interests across the state.
Speaking to the media in Nagpur, the Chief Minister said that while Maharashtra is expected to receive nearly 92 percent of normal rainfall this year, certain regions including Marathwada, West Vidarbha, North Maharashtra and other drought-prone districts may experience below-average rainfall due to the influence of El Niño conditions.
Mr. Fadnavis stated that the government has been issuing timely advisories to farmers to help them adapt to changing weather conditions and make informed agricultural decisions. He emphasized that efforts are underway to prevent the need for re-sowing and to minimize potential crop losses.
The Maharashtra government continues to coordinate with meteorological agencies and agricultural departments to ensure farmers receive necessary guidance and support throughout the monsoon season.
