Highlighting the growing sporting partnership between the two nations, PM Modi also welcomed the decision to stage a Big Bash League (BBL) match in Chennai, saying that hosting sporting events in India guarantees massive fan engagement and global viewership.
"I am delighted that a Big Bash League match will be held in Chennai, India. For any sporting league, hosting an event in India guarantees extensive reach and viewership," he added.

The newly launched roadmap aims to deepen collaboration in sports science, athlete development, coaching, event management, sports infrastructure, and innovation while further strengthening the strategic partnership between India and Australia through sports diplomacy.
