PM Modi Praises Indian Diaspora in New Zealand

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Indian community in New Zealand after receiving an enthusiastic welcome during his visit.

Sharing his thoughts on social media, Prime Minister Modi said he was deeply touched by the love and affection shown by the Indian diaspora, noting that the community had waited nearly four decades for the visit of an Indian Prime Minister.

"The love and affection of New Zealand's Indian community touched me deeply. They have waited four decades for the visit of an Indian Prime Minister and their extraordinary enthusiasm and warmth were visible today. Their bond with India remains unwavering," Modi wrote.

The Prime Minister's interaction with the Indian diaspora highlighted the strong cultural and emotional ties shared by overseas Indians with their homeland. The visit also reflects the growing partnership between India and New Zealand across trade, education, people-to-people exchanges and strategic cooperation.
