PM Modi to Address Khelo India Dialogue on August 27

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the Khelo India Dialogue through video conferencing on August 27 as part of the National Sports Day 2026 celebrations. Organised by Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), the nationwide programme will connect young people with India’s sporting ambitions and the broader vision of a youth-led Viksit Bharat.

The programme will be conducted across States and Union Territories, with youth participation from two colleges in every district. In Punjab, Haryana and the Union Territory of Chandigarh, the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports will organise ‘Khelo India Samvad – Khel Ki Baat PM Ke Saath’ at two colleges in every district.

According to State Director, MY Bharat Punjab, Rashmeet Kaur, students and youth will participate in the nationally synchronised programme from designated venues and listen to Prime Minister Modi’s virtual address. Local sportspersons and public representatives will also join the programme, giving participants an opportunity to share their ideas, suggestions and aspirations.

Five Key Themes of the Dialogue

The Khelo India Dialogue will bring together sports, youth leadership, civic responsibility, volunteering, fitness and nation-building. The Yuva Samvaad segment will provide young participants with a platform to express their views and aspirations.

Discussions will focus on five broad themes:
Sports

Olympic Aspirations
Youth Leadership
Viksit Bharat
Nasha Mukt Yuva

A major highlight will be direct interaction between young people interested in sports and leading Indian athletes and medal winners. Local interactions involving MY Bharat volunteers, sportspersons and public representatives will follow the Prime Minister’s address.

The initiative aims to strengthen youth participation in India’s sporting journey while encouraging young people to contribute ideas for a fitter, more disciplined and sporting nation. It also reflects the government’s emphasis on placing youth aspirations at the centre of the national development agenda.
