The flag hoisting ceremony was synchronised with a 21-Gun Salute by the gunners of the 1721 Field Battery (Ceremonial). The ceremonial battery used India’s indigenous 105mm Light Field Guns during the salute.
The ceremonial battery was commanded by Major Pawan Singh Shekhawat, while Naib Subedar (Assistant Instructor in Gunnery) Anuthosh Sarkar served as the Gun Position Officer.
The ceremony at the Red Fort marked a significant moment of national pride, honouring India’s journey since Independence and showcasing the country’s indigenous defence capabilities.
