Prime Minister Narendra Modi held wide-ranging bilateral talks with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto at Istana Merdeka in Jakarta, reaffirming the commitment of both nations to strengthen their comprehensive strategic partnership.

Sharing details of the meeting on social media, Prime Minister Modi said India-Indonesia relations have gained new momentum and greater depth over the past few years. He described the discussions as productive and focused on expanding cooperation across several key sectors.⁶

The two leaders discussed enhancing collaboration in trade, human development, agriculture, food security, and healthcare, while also exploring new opportunities for economic growth and people-to-people engagement.

Recognising India and Indonesia as major maritime nations in the Indo-Pacific, the leaders also placed strong emphasis on defence, security, and maritime cooperation.
