President Murmu Unveils Durand Cup Trophies

Droupadi Murmu unveiled and flagged off the trophies of the Durand Cup 2026 during a ceremony held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre on Tuesday.

Addressing the gathering, President Murmu said that the spirit of sports extends far beyond the playing field. She noted that sports instill values such as equality, cooperation, discipline, and resilience, enabling individuals to remain steadfast even in challenging circumstances.
