PM SVANidhi Scheme: PM Modi Highlights Women's Business Growth

PM SVANidhi Scheme has helped lakhs of street vendors access financial support and strengthen their businesses, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said while highlighting the scheme's impact on women entrepreneurs.

Speaking during the 137th episode of Mann Ki Baat, the Prime Minister said women account for nearly 46 per cent of the beneficiaries under the initiative, meaning around 35 lakh women across the country are using the scheme to advance their businesses.

According to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the PM SVANidhi Scheme has emerged as an important source of financial support for women engaged in small businesses.

He said that nearly 46 per cent of the scheme's beneficiaries are women. This translates to approximately 35 lakh women across the country who are advancing their businesses with assistance provided through the initiative.

The Prime Minister highlighted the figures while discussing examples of people who have benefited from government schemes during the latest episode of Mann Ki Baat.

According to the Prime Minister, Sharma previously operated a small stall selling items used for worship.

Through the PM SVANidhi Scheme, she received financial support that helped her business.

The example of Babita Sharma was highlighted to demonstrate how access to financial assistance can support people engaged in small-scale commercial activities.
