President Murmu Greets West Bengal on Paschimbanga Divas

President Droupadi Murmu extended her warm greetings to the people of West Bengal on the occasion of Paschimbanga Divas, highlighting the state's rich cultural heritage and its immense contribution to India's development and identity.

In her message, the President praised West Bengal's distinguished contributions to literature, music, art, cinema, science, education, commerce, social reform, and spirituality. She noted that the state has played a defining role in shaping the nation's progress and cultural landscape.

The President described Paschimbanga Divas as a significant milestone in the history of West Bengal, symbolizing the aspirations and determination that ensured the state remained an integral part of India.

She also recalled that this year marks the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee and paid tribute to his invaluable contribution to the cause. The President said his legacy and service to the nation would always be remembered.
