Putin Thanks PM Modi for His Continued Push to End Ukraine Conflict Peacefully
Russian President Vladimir Putin has praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his continued efforts to seek a peaceful resolution to the Russia-Ukraine conflict, saying the Indian leader has “very good ideas” aimed at finding mutually acceptable solutions.
Putin said Modi repeatedly raises the issue of ending the conflict in Ukraine during their discussions, despite the close and friendly relationship between India and Russia.
Putin said Modi has a strong interest in bringing the conflict to an end and described India’s position as neutral while remaining focused on achieving peace.
“He has an avid interest and very good ideas aimed at finding mutually acceptable solutions,” Putin said.
The Russian president also expressed gratitude to Modi for his ideas and his stated desire to resolve the conflict through peaceful means at the earliest possible opportunity.
India has consistently advocated dialogue and diplomacy as the way forward on the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Prime Minister Modi has previously said that India maintains a principled and humanitarian approach and is willing to support meaningful efforts toward a peaceful resolution.
Putin’s latest remarks underline Russia’s acknowledgement of Modi’s continued engagement on the Ukraine conflict and India’s diplomatic outreach to both sides.
