PV Sindhu Targets World Championship Medal on Home Soil

Indian badminton star PV Sindhu is eagerly looking forward to competing at the BWF World Badminton Championship 2026 on home soil, with the two-time Olympic medallist setting her sights on another medal.

Speaking ahead of the prestigious tournament, Sindhu said hosting the World Championship in India makes the occasion particularly special. She highlighted the significance of returning to a tournament on home soil after several years and expressed her excitement about competing in front of Indian fans.

Sindhu has a strong connection with the World Championships, having won the women’s singles title in 2019. Seven years after that triumph, she is hoping to produce another memorable performance and challenge for a medal.
