In a major political development, Raghav Chadha has announced his resignation from the Aam Aadmi Party, along with several Rajya Sabha Members of Parliament, dealing a significant blow to the party’s parliamentary strength.
At a joint press conference, Sandeep Pathak confirmed that he is set to join the Bharatiya Janata Party, indicating a potential political realignment. Ashok Mittal was also among the MPs who resigned.
Chadha claimed that nearly two-thirds of AAP’s Rajya Sabha MPs have stepped down and will join the BJP as a faction. According to the leaders, seven out of the party’s 10 Rajya Sabha MPs have quit, pointing to a deep internal crisis within the party.
He further stated that prominent figures such as Swati Maliwal and Harbhajan Singh have also left the party.
