Rahul Gandhi Slams Government Over Repeated Exam Paper Leaks

Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on the Centre over repeated exam paper leaks, alleging that India's education system has become "rigged" and that millions of students are paying the price.

Speaking in the Lok Sabha during the discussion on the issue, the Congress leader claimed that 152 exam paper leaks have occurred over the past decade, averaging nearly one leak every month.

"The thing that is very clear to everybody is that our education system, which was known to be one of the best education systems in the world, is today a rigged system," Rahul Gandhi said.

He alleged that every paper leak forces lakhs of students to undergo the stress of preparing for examinations all over again, despite investing significant time, effort, and financial resources.

Rahul Gandhi further claimed that around 7.5 crore students and their families have been affected by repeated examination irregularities, particularly those from middle-class and economically weaker backgrounds.

Questioning the government's response, he said that despite the alleged 152 paper leaks, there have been "zero convictions" over the past ten years.

"So somebody or a group of people are destroying our education system, India's most valuable asset, destroying the lives of our students. What does the government do? Zero convictions," he said.

The remarks came during a heated debate in Parliament on examination integrity and the government's handling of paper leak incidents, with the Opposition demanding stronger accountability and systemic reforms to safeguard students' futures.
