Rahul Gandhi Criticises RSS on Language Issue
Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday shared a strongly worded message on social media, accusing the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) of promoting an ideology that undermines India's linguistic, cultural, and historical diversity.
Behind the thinking of the Prime Minister, his colleagues, and the RSS lies a very dangerous and caustic idea.

In his post, Rahul Gandhi alleged that the Prime Minister, his colleagues, and the RSS believe the histories, identities, and languages of India's diverse states are insignificant, while prioritizing only the language and history defined by the RSS.
He further linked this ideology to the ongoing student protests, stating that young people are taking to the streets to defend India's pluralistic identity.
Rahul Gandhi asserted that India would never accept attempts to suppress its cultures, languages, or histories, adding that students are protecting the "idea of India" through their democratic expression.
The remarks come amid an ongoing political debate over language, education, and cultural identity, with opposition parties accusing the Centre of promoting linguistic and cultural centralisation, while the government has maintained that it respects India's linguistic diversity.
