Rahul Gandhi: Youth and Data Will Drive 21st Century Economy
Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi said India’s young population and its data will be among the most important drivers of the country’s economic progress in the 21st century.
Addressing the gathering, Gandhi highlighted the strength of India’s youth, noting that the country has around 400 million young people who can play a crucial role in shaping its future.
He said India’s growth in the 21st century would be powered by two key factors — the strength of its youth and the data generated by them.
“Youth + Data = The economy of the 21st century,” Gandhi said.
Emphasising the growing importance of artificial intelligence (AI), the Congress leader said that data is fundamental to developing meaningful AI systems.
“Without your data, AI has no meaning,” Gandhi said, adding that while AI can be created from data, data cannot be created from AI.
Gandhi’s remarks underline the increasing importance of India’s demographic dividend and its vast digital data ecosystem in determining the country’s economic and technological trajectory.
