“SthreeShakti Has Become Integral to Women’s Lives”: Chandrababu Naidu

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu announced that the state’s SthreeShakti scheme has crossed a historic milestone of 100 crore free bus journeys by women since its launch on August 15 last year.

మన ఆడబిడ్డల ఆదరణతో, మాతృమూర్తుల ఆమోదంతో ‘స్త్రీశక్తి’ పథకం చారిత్రాత్మక మైలురాయిని చేరుకుంది. గత ఏడాది అగస్టు 15వ తేదీన ప్రారంభమైన ‘స్త్రీశక్తి’ 100 కోట్లకు పైగా ఉచిత ప్రయాణాలు పూర్తి చేసుకోవడం ఎంతో గర్వకారణం. రోజుకు సగటున 24 లక్షల మంది మహిళలు ఈ సదుపాయాన్ని వినియోగించుకుంటున్నారంటే ఈ పథకం రాష్ట్ర మహిళల జీవితాల్లో ఒక భాగమైపోయినట్టు అర్థమవుతోంది. చదువుకునే విద్యార్థినికి, ఉద్యోగానికి వెళ్లే మహిళకు, రోజువారీ ఉపాధి కోసం ప్రయాణించే ఆడబిడ్డలకు ఉచిత బస్సు శక్తినిచ్చింది. ప్రయాణ ఖర్చుల భారాన్ని తగ్గించి, తమ అవసరాల కోసం స్వేచ్ఛగా ప్రయాణించే భరోసాను అందిస్తోంది. ఇప్పటికి ఈ పథకం ద్వారా మహిళలు రూ.3550 కోట్ల మేర ఆదా చేసుకున్నారు. ఇలా ఆదా అయిన ప్రతి రూపాయి వారి పిల్లల చదువుకు, కుటుంబ అవసరాలకు, భవిష్యత్తుకు ఉపయోగపడాలన్నదే మా ఆకాంక్ష. ఈ పథకాన్ని ఆదరిస్తున్న మహిళలందరికీ కృతజ్ఞతలు. ఈ చారిత్రాత్మక విజయాన్ని సాధ్యం చేయడంలో కృషి చేసిన ఆర్టీసీ యాజమాన్యానికి, సిబ్బందికి హృదయపూర్వక అభినందనలు. #SthreeShakti #FreeBusForWomenInAP

Sharing the achievement on social media, Naidu said the milestone was a matter of immense pride and highlighted the scheme’s growing impact on women across Andhra Pradesh.

According to the Chief Minister, an average of 24 lakh women are availing the free travel facility every day, making SthreeShakti an integral part of their daily lives.

The scheme has particularly benefited female students, working women and women travelling for employment, enabling them to commute without the burden of transportation expenses.

Naidu said the initiative has given women greater confidence and freedom to travel for education, work and other essential needs. He added that women have collectively saved ₹3,550 crore through the scheme so far.

The Chief Minister expressed hope that the money saved through free travel would be used for children’s education, family requirements and securing a better future.

Naidu also thanked women across the state for supporting the initiative and congratulated the RTC management and staff for their contribution to the scheme’s historic success.

The 100-crore journey milestone highlights the SthreeShakti scheme’s growing role in promoting women’s mobility, access to education and employment, and financial empowerment in Andhra Pradesh.
