West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Friday said that any ordinary Trinamool Congress worker who was forced to leave home after May 4 would be ensured a safe return by the administration, stressing that innocent people would be protected.
At the same time, he warned that those named in the 2021 post-poll violence cases involving murder, looting, arson, and attacks on Bharatiya Janata Party workers would face strict legal action and be sent to prison. Adhikari asserted that no political protection would shield the accused any longer.
