Late Swiss Blitz Sinks 10-Man Bosnia 4-1

Switzerland registered a dominant 4-1 victory over Bosnia and Herzegovina in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Group B clash at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. The match was goalless for over 70 minutes before exploding into life late in the second half.

Substitute Johan Manzambi volleyed in the opening goal for the Swiss in the 75th minute, just two minutes after taking the pitch.

Bosnia were reduced to 10 men in the 80th minute when defender Tarik Muharemović was shown a straight red card for a foul on Breel Embolo.

Switzerland then pressed home their advantage with Ruben Vargas doubling their in the 84th minute and Johan Manzambi grabbed his second goal of the night to make it 3-0 in the 90th minute.

Three minutes later, Bosnia's Ermin Mahmic salvaged a consolation goal following which Swiss captain Granit Xhaka sealed the 4-1 victory by converting a penalty awarded gor a foul by Sead Kolasinac.

Switzerland moved to the top of the group with four points grom two matches while Bosnia are at the bottom with only a point.
