Tejashwi Yadav Demands Answers Over Bihar Student Firing, Announces Raj Bhavan March

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav has announced that his party will organise a march to the Raj Bhavan in Bihar on August 19 over the alleged firing of bullets from AK-47 rifles at students during a recent protest.

Speaking on the issue, Yadav questioned the circumstances surrounding the incident and sought accountability from the Bihar government and the Centre.

He alleged that students protesting for their rights were targeted with firearms and questioned who ordered the use of an AK-47 during the incident.

“After all, on whose orders did this happen?” Yadav asked, while alleging that the Bihar Chief Minister, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah had remained silent on the matter.

The RJD leader also criticised the action taken after the incident, saying that suspending a constable was insufficient. He questioned why the Superintendent of Police (SP) had not been suspended.

According to Yadav, the Opposition and people across the country want answers about who was responsible for the firing at the students.

“We have decided that on August 19 at 11 AM, all of us will march from the party office to Raj Bhavan,” Yadav said.

The proposed march is expected to put further political pressure on the Bihar government over the handling of the incident and the demand for accountability.
