Tejashwi Yadav Questions EC Transparency After RJD Wins Seats
Patna, Bihar: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and Bihar Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav has questioned the transparency of the Election Commission following his party's victories in teacher and graduate constituency elections. He also announced that the RJD would participate in an INDIA bloc march and rally against the commission on November 1.
Speaking in Patna, Yadav thanked party workers, leaders and voters for supporting the RJD. He said the newly elected representatives would raise issues concerning teachers and graduates in the House.
Tejashwi Yadav Highlights Education Sector Concerns
Yadav raised concerns about the state of education in Bihar, claiming that universities and colleges were not providing education adequately.
He said the elected representatives would focus on the concerns of teachers and graduates and work to bring their issues before the legislature.
The RJD leader also described the party's victory in a seat previously considered a BJP stronghold as a significant achievement.
RJD Leader Questions Election Commission's Transparency
Yadav questioned the Election Commission's handling of the election results, alleging that there had been unnecessary delays in declaring certain outcomes.
He said results for three of the four seats won by the RJD had been announced by 6 pm, while the winning candidate in the teacher constituency had to wait until late at night for the election certificate.
Yadav also raised concerns about the availability of CCTV cameras and other oversight arrangements during the process. He alleged that the Election Commission was acting at the BJP's behest.
These statements represent the RJD leader's allegations; the specific claims regarding the counting process and election oversight would require independent verification.
INDIA Bloc Plans March and Rally on November 1
Yadav said the INDIA bloc had organised a march and rally for November 1 to raise concerns about the Election Commission. He confirmed that the RJD would participate to present its position to the public.
The planned event is expected to focus on the opposition alliance's concerns regarding electoral transparency and the commission's conduct.
The controversy has brought attention to questions surrounding result announcements, election certificates and oversight procedures in the teacher and graduate constituency polls.
