Diamond Harbour Trinamool Congress MLA Dipak Kumar Halder resign from the party. This comes after a few days, Dipak met with Sovan Chatterjee. Diamond harbour constituency had been one of the most reliable seat for Trinamool Congress as that have lots of lead to Abhisek Banerjee in 2019.
Dipak Kumar Halder is expected to join Bhartiya Janata party soon. After his meeting with Sovan Chatterjee, it was expected that he will move towards saffron party. Dipak Kumar Halder is expected to join the saffron party on Tuesday at a rally where his former compatriot Suvendu Adhikari will be present.
Dipak Halder after leaving the party said,” I always wanted to work for the benifit of the people. I will continue work for the people of my constituency. I am two time MLA. But since 2017, I am not getting opportunity to work for the people. I had not been informed about many programs. I intimated our leadership but since no step was taken, I decided to leave the party”.
