Trump Alleges Iran Violated Hormuz Ceasefire

US President Donald J. Trump has alleged that the Islamic Republic of Iran violated a ceasefire agreement by launching four one-way attack drones at ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's most strategically important maritime trade routes.

In a statement shared on social media, Trump claimed that one of the drones struck the upper deck of a large cargo ship, causing damage but allowing the vessel to continue its voyage. He further stated that US forces intercepted and destroyed the remaining three drones before they could reach their targets.

Calling the incident a "foolish violation" of the ceasefire agreement, Trump accused Iran of escalating tensions despite the existing truce. The statement comes amid heightened security concerns in the Gulf region, where the Strait of Hormuz remains a critical corridor for global energy supplies and commercial shipping.
