Uttarakhand CM Dhami Reaches Chamoli to Monitor Tunnel Rescue Operation

Uttarakhand CM Dhami Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Pipalkoti in Chamoli on Thursday amid heavy rain to take stock of the ongoing rescue operation following a tunnel accident in which workers were trapped inside.

After arriving at the disaster-affected area, Dhami conducted an on-site inspection and reviewed the arrangements being made to evacuate the trapped workers safely. He also sought updates from officials and personnel involved in the rescue operation.

The Chief Minister's visit comes as challenging weather conditions continue to create difficulties for teams working at the accident site. The state government has prioritised the safe evacuation of all workers and directed agencies to maintain close coordination throughout the operation.

Heavy Rain Poses Challenges for Rescue Teams

Dhami's helicopter landed at Pipalkoti despite difficult weather conditions. Continuous rain and adverse conditions in the area have added to the challenges faced by the rescue teams.
