The direct connection will link devotees travelling to Sri Kanaka Durga Amma Temple in Vijayawada with Baba Kashi Vishwanath in Varanasi, making pilgrimage travel more convenient and strengthening religious tourism between Andhra Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
Naidu also highlighted the ongoing expansion of aviation infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh. He said that following the inauguration of ASR Bhogapuram Airport by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, work on new terminal facilities at Vijayawada, Rajahmundry and Kadapa airports is also nearing completion.
The Union Minister credited the NDA government in Andhra Pradesh, led by N. Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan, with accelerating the development of the state’s aviation infrastructure.
The expansion of airport facilities and new flight connections is expected to improve regional connectivity, support tourism and provide passengers with better access to major domestic destinations.
