Animal Vs Sam Bahadur – The first day of December falls on a Friday this year and Bollywood enthusiasts are spoilt for choice as Animal and Sam Bahadur both hit the theatres tomorrow. Already there is considerable buzz around the two, though they are from entirely different genres and hence there is hardly the question of a “clash” apart from the same date of release.
Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga has Ranbir Kapoor as the film’s leading man and Anil Kappor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Tripti Dimri in pivotal roles. Viewers will see Bobby Doel in the role of an antagonist or “bad man” in it. Classified as an action film, this is Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s second directorial venture in Hindi, the first being Kabir Singh that was a remake of his own, Arjun Reddy, in Telegu and had Vijay Deverakonda essaying the role of a brooding, volatile young surgeon. Besides Hindi, Animal is releasing in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Telugu. It is reported that the budget of the film is 100 Cr INR.
Sam Bahadur is a biopic made on possibly the most-recognized face of the Indian Army, Field Marshall Sam Manekshaw. As an “Army man”, he was loved and admired not only by his fellow comrades in the Defence but also the citizens of the country. Field Marshall Manekshaw played a vital role in the war against Pakistan that ensured the liberation of East Pakistan and formation of Bangladesh. Vicky Kaushal plays the role of the former Chief of Army Staff in the film that is helmed by Meghna Gulzar. Sam Bahadur also stars Fatima Sana Sheikh and Sanya Malhotra. It is reported that the budget for Sam Bahadur is 55 Cr INR.
