Anupam Kher Announces New Bengali Film After 26 Years

Veteran actor Anupam Kher has announced that Anupam Kher Studio will return to Bengali cinema after a gap of 26 years with a new film titled "Shuru Theke Shuru." The announcement came after his meeting with West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari.

Speaking after the meeting, Kher said the upcoming film will be produced in collaboration with Friends Communication and producer Firdausul Hasan.
Recalling the studio's previous Bengali production, Kher said, "Years ago, we made Bariwali with Rituparno Ghosh*, and now we are making a new film again."

Apart from film production, Kher also revealed plans to establish an acting school in West Bengal. He said Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari extended his best wishes for both the new film and the proposed acting institute.

Highlighting Bengal's cultural legacy, Kher added, "We have learnt a lot from Bengal, be it cinema, music, and literature."
The announcement marks a significant return for Anupam Kher Studio to the Bengali film industry and reflects renewed investment in the state's cultural and cinematic landscape.
