FC Bayern fell 2-1 to Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday, losing their first competitive match under Julian Nagelsmann. Bayern were in command throughout but Frankfurt were very clinical, with their keeper Kevin Trapp making a number of strong saves. Leon Goretzka put Bayern ahead in the first half, but Martin Hinteregger levelled the scores almost immediately. Hinteregger also netted for the first time in 2021/22 with Frankfurt’s first headed goal of the campaign.
