Congress Announces Mallikarjun Kharge, Pawan Khera and Mansoor Ali Khan as Rajya Sabha Candidates from Karnataka

The Indian National Congress on Thursday announced its candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections from Karnataka, fielding Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, senior party spokesperson Pawan Khera, and party leader Mansoor Ali Khan.

The decision was approved by the party's central leadership as Congress finalized its nominees for the Rajya Sabha seats from the southern state.

Mallikarjun Kharge, who currently serves as the President of the Congress party and Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, has once again been nominated from Karnataka. The party has also chosen national spokesperson Pawan Khera and senior leader Mansoor Ali Khan as its candidates.

The announcement comes ahead of the Rajya Sabha elections, where the Congress is expected to leverage its strength in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly to secure victories for its nominees.

The nominations reflect the party's strategy of balancing experienced leadership with prominent national voices as it prepares for key political developments in the coming months.

Further details regarding the election schedule and nomination process are expected to be announced by the Election Commission.
