French football super star Kylian Mbappe hat-trick, Paris Saint-Germain made light work of beating Vannes 4-0 away in the last 32 of the Coupe de France.

PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino put out an unprecedented starting eleven for this Coupe de France last-32 tie, with no fewer than six midfielders at kick-off, including two PSG academy graduates, Edouard Michut and Xavi Simons. This was precisely what was needed to break the lock of a very compact-looking Vannes defence.Paris Saint-Germain’s professional and controlled performance gives them the ideal start to 2022,as they book their place in the last 16 of the Coupe de France.
Mbappe said ,”It’s an honour. Scoring so many goals for such a big club is always nice. There are only three of us, and the gap between us is closing more and more. I’m lucky enough to play alongside two great players. I know that Ibrahimović isn’t far off, but the most important thing is that we’re through and that we keep preparing well for the matches coming up.
“It’s important because in the cup, if you lose, you’re out, but we stayed focused from start to finish. We were always trying to play with enough intensity to show them and ourselves respect. We won 4-0, we kept a clean sheet, we weren’t put in any danger, and we scored some great goals. We’re through to the next round, and we’ll carry on preparing to get going again in the league.”
After the match PSG coach MaurIcio Pochettino said ,“I’m very pleased. I think it was a very good performance, a very solid performance, and I’m happy to be in the next round. That was the objective before we played, and after the victory, I am really happy. It’s always difficult to play before the game because you can get caught out sometimes, but I’m happy because we were very solid, very professional, and now we are in the next stage; that was the objective. The game against Lyon is a big game. We’ll be ready to compete at our best.”
On Mbappé scoring 150 goals for the club he said “Yes, it’s unbelievable. I’m happy for him and happy for the team because it helped the team to achieve what we wanted.”
