Cricketer Manoj Tiwari joins Trinamool Congress. At the mega rally of Sahagunj, Hooghly Manoj Tiwari joined Trinamool Congress. He was handed over the party flag in presence of Trinamool Supremo Mamata Banerjee. Apart from Manoj, Former footballer Saumik dey too joined politics and started his second innings.
Manoj Tiwari after joining Trinamool Congress said,” Bhartiya Janta party is trying to do politics while creating division in the country.But I believe in secularism like our leader Mamata Banerjee. The love you gave me while I scored century against West Indies was true. There was no Sikh, Hindu,Muslim love. The love was from everyone. I want that love while I will work for the country. I promise you that I will be the same Manoj who represented India with national flag on the chest”.
