Dunki Movie Advance Bookings Soar in North America

FILM’S ADVANCE BOOKINGS GOING STRONG IN NORTH AMERICA

Dunki Advance Bookings are quite encouraging, and Shah Rukh Khan’s movie is doing phenomenally well in North America, as per reports. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani and starring the superstar, Dunki is ahead of all Bollywood films except Jawan, reported CineHub.

The total North America Day 1 advance booking is around $210,000 (₹1.74 crore). A whopping 15,000 tickets have been sold as per reports.

Dunki, also starring Taapsee Pannu, Anil Grover, and Vicky Kaushal, is set for a December 21 release. The trailer drop that is interestingly a staggered one with 4 “drops” from 1 -4 have generated much interest, and the film has stirred considerable excitement among movie enthusiasts and have amassed crores of views individually.

There are extensive plans for premiere showings both in India and abroad. As reported by Pinkvilla, advanced ticket bookings for Dunki will start on December 16 in the country. The media platform reported that certain halls may start limited pre-bookings on December 15.

Advance bookings for overseas Dunki screenings started last week and have seen a robust response.

Projections suggest a debut upwards of ₹20.8 crore ($2.50 million). According to reports, earnings in overseas markets could be beyond INR 25 Crore ($ 3 million). The initial four-day stretch that includes the weekend could collect over ₹124 crore ($15 million) dependent on audience reception. The festive fortnight of Christmas and New Year is expected to boost ticket sales.

Shah Rukh Khan plays Hardayal “Hardy” Singh Dhillon in Rajkumar Hirani’s film. Hardy, Balli (Anil Grover), Buggu Lakhanpal (Vikram Kochhar), Sukhi (Vicky Kaushal) and Manu (Taapsee Pannu) all share the common dream of relocating to London. In preparation for their move, they embark enthusiastically begin to assimilate the English language and acquaint themselves with British customs. However, they opt for an unauthorised route known as “Dunki” to enter London. This wrong decision leads them to face a series of obstacles and events that transform their lives.
