Election Commission of India announce dates of West Bengal assembly polls. The Election in Bengal will start from 27th March. There will be 8 phase Election this time in Bengal. The Election process will go on till 29th April. Election counting will be on 2nd of May. The Election results will be declared in Tamil Nadu, Kerala , Assam, Puducherry as well on 2nd May. Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora announced the schedule of Election on Friday.
Kolkata will see its first phase of vote in the city on 26th April. Though on that day, Kolkata South voters will cast their vote. Three days later, Kolkata North voters will cast their vote on 29th April. The Election dates and districts are given underneath.
First phase of poll in 30 assembly seats on 27th March. The districts are Purulia, West Midnapore Part I, Bankura Part I, East Midnapore Part I and Jhargram.
Second phase of poll in 30 assembly seats on 1st April. The districts are Bankura Part II, East Midnapore Part II, West Midnapore Part II and South 24 Parganas Part I.
Third phase of poll in 31 assembly seats on 6th April. The districts are Howrah Part I, South 24 Parganas Part II and Hugli Part 1.
Fourth phase of poll in 44 assembly seats on 10th April. The districts are Howrah Part II, South 24 Parganas Part III and Hugli Part II, Alipurduar and Cooch Behar.
Fifth phase of poll in 45 assembly seats on 17th April. The districts are North Pargana Part I, Darjeeling, Nadia Part I, Kalimpong, East Bardhaman Part I and Jalpaiguri.
Sixth phase of poll in 43 assembly seats on 22 April. The districts are North Pargana Part II, Nadia Part II, East Bardhaman Part II and Uttar Dinajpur.
Seventh phase of poll in 36 assembly seats on 26 April. The districts are Malda Part I, Kolkata South, Murshidabad Part I, West Bardhaman Part and Dakshin Dinajpur.
Eight phase of poll in 35 assembly seats on 29th April. The districts are Malda Part II, Kolkata North, Murshidabad Part II and Birbhum.
