So after dating for several years, Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar decided to take their romance to the next level and married today. The couple began their wedding festivities on Thursday, February 17, and hosted a few further events before sealing the knot on February 19. The couple’s wedding is a small-scale ceremony, with just close friends and family in attendance.
The photos show the Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara actor looking handsome in a black tuxedo on his big day. Farhan sported beard, and his stylish sunglasses added to his allure. Shibani, on the other hand, did not dress in traditional Indian clothes on her D-Day. She was dressed in a crimson off-the-shoulder fish-cut gown that flared out at the hem. She finished off her bridal appearance with a matching crimson veil and a center-parted hairstyle with delicate waves. The pair was spotted standing on a little stage with a lovely red flower backdrop.
On February 21, Farhan and Shibani will officially register their marriage. Farhan and Shibani married in Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi’s Khandala farmhouse before their formal marriage.
Javed Akhtar had already confirmed the wedding in an interview, saying, “Yes, the wedding is happening. The rest, shaadi ki jo taiyyariyan hain, is handled by wedding planners.”
