Guru Nanak Dev showed the landlord the right path
Once Guru Nanak Dev reached a village with his disciples. A farmer invited him to his house for food. As Guru Nanak Dev sat down to eat, the biggest landlord of the village also came there. He started praying to Guru Nanak Dev again and again to go to his house for food. Guru Nanak Dev took the poor farmer’s bread with him and went to the landlord’s house.
The zamindar served a variety of dishes in front of Guru Nanak Dev. Guru Nanak Dev started eating the bread brought from that poor farmer’s house there. Seeing this, the landlord asked the reason for this. Guru Nanak Dev did not say anything. On the insistence of the landlord, Guru Nanak Dev simultaneously picked up the bread of the poor farmer and in the other hand the bread of the landlord’s house, pressed them both hard.
Milk started flowing from the farmer’s bread and blood flowed from the landlord’s bread. Guru Nanak Dev said that the farmer’s bread is his hard earned money while your food is prepared from the money earned by wrong means. It also includes the blood of innocent people whom you have cheated. Seeing this, the zamindar realized his mistake and vowed never again in life to earn money in a wrong way.
When Guru Nanak Dev gave strange blessings
Once Guru Nanak Dev was passing through a village. The people of that village were very angry and greedy and atheist. When Guru Nanak Dev saw all this, he blessed him that it should be settled and inhabited. After this, when Guru Nanak Dev reached another village, the people there were very hardworking and loving people. He respected Guru Nanak Dev with great respect. Guru Nanak blessed them to get ruined, spread here and there.
Hearing such blessings from Guru Nanak Dev’s mouth, his disciple asked the reason for this, then he said that wherever the atheists go, they will make the people like themselves, so I blessed them to stay there, whereas the believers will go wherever they go. Will spread love there and spread the devotion of God, so I blessed him to spread in the world.
When Guru Nanak Dev reached Mecca-Medina
Guru Nanak Dev had traveled as far as Arabia and Persia in his life. Once Guru Nanak Dev reached Mecca with his disciples. On going there, when he got very tired, he started lying down in one place and took rest. Just then a Muslim man came there and said in anger, “The side you have set your feet on is the holy Mecca.”
Guru Nanak Dev said to him, “Then you put my feet on that side where God is not there.” After listening to Guru Nanak Dev, that person realized his mistake because he had understood that there is no direction where God is not there, it is pervading in every direction.
