Haaland Stuns Brazil, Sends Norway Into Quarterfinals

The win sends the Scandinavian side into their first-ever World Cup quarterfinal as Brazil rued missing a penalty in the first half.

Haaland then doubled the lead just before stoppage time, slipping a low, clinical strike as Neymar converted a late penalty deep into added time, but it was not enough to spark a Brazilian comeback.

Haaland’s two goals put him level with Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi at the top of the tournament’s Golden Boot race with 7 goals.
